Hello everyone, Yesterday was a BIG day for COTI! Being on the main stage of Cardano’s annual summit, announcing the upcoming launch of Djed, Djed Pay and the future integration of Djed to COTI’s treasury - is not a small thing. Yet, I see some frustration from members of our community that I wish to address. From what I read, some feel that yesterday wasn’t big (enough) to justify the excitement. I, however, believe that being able to build what is the most sophisticated stable coin ever built, in just one year, and making it the center of a major ecosystem like Cardano is actually a tremendous achievement worth celebrating. The great media coverage that followed the announcement and the excitement in the summit shows that a lot of other people share this perspective. Djed will help COTI grow its ecosystem. This growth will be funneled to COTI’s treasury and benefit our community. Furthermore, expanding COTI’s treasury to allow the deposit of multiple assets will have an overall positive effect on all participants, otherwise we wouldn’t have been doing it. I understand that current market conditions are difficult for everyone. This leads to anxiety, frustration and impatience. It’s human nature. At COTI, we do our best to communicate our plans in a transparent way. This, sometimes, leads towards community demand to set and meet exact launch dates which is unrealistic when it comes to research and development. We try our best to balance between transparency to development complexity and sometimes miss. When we do, it can be annoying, I know. That said, I don’t believe that not disclosing any of our plans until the day of a launch would have been better. With that cleared, let’s focus on the big picture. As an industry, there are still difficult days ahead of us. My role, as the leader of COTI, is to continue shipping through the storm. The COTI team is doing so every day, with a lot of passion and grit. I’m proud of our team and I respect you all for being determined. Stay COTI!
